Earlier this year, I started making plans to adopt a baby. Well, not a human baby...but a puppy. I took all sorts of online quizzes and researched the best breed for compatibility purposes. I was down to two breeds (Brussels Griffon and Shih Tzu) and then I remembered I actually rent and should run this by my landlord before I bring a new baby home. And that's when everything came crashing down as my landlord told me she prefers to lease a pet-free space. :-( But me being the rebel I am, I went ahead and purchased one anyway. Ladies and Gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you to my new baby, my puppy...Tobias Funke!!
Haha! Okay, so maybe that isn't a REAL dog..lol. I still feel like I showed them. :-p
In my last post, I ran down a list of projects to be completed this summer. Well, I spent most of the 4th of July weekend completing a lot of them and here are the results!
I started by painting my bathroom. I chose Behr satin sheen in 'Ashes' and I think it came out pretty good!
BEFORE..
AFTER
changed out the shower curtain
I started Thursday night at 9:30 p.m. (yeah, I don't know what I was thinking), and since my bathroom is the size of a cracker box, I was done at 10:30. I don't know what I was on, but I still had energy and found myself curious to know what the color would look like in my kitchen. Hmm..
Then I just decided yeah, I want to paint this room too.
And here's the outcome..
THEN..I spray painted patio furniture and home accessories. I purchased several spray paint cans from Home Depot at $2.98 per can. The first was a satin color called 'Lagoon' I used to refurbish my patio furniture. I ran out 75% of the way through and had to break to run to the store to buy another...thank goodness I don't live too far from the store. :-)
.
Using a semi-gloss sheen black spray paint (again, from Home Depot), I spray painted this bowl, milk canister and bathroom cabinet. The bowl was originally purple and purchased on clearance for $4 at Target several years ago. The milk crate was purchased at a flea market a couple months ago. The cabinet was originally white and given to me by a friend a couple years ago.
Still working on the styling and placement of items; but I wanted to show the finished products.
Thanks for stopping by! Ciao!
